Some highlights of from the past year. If you finished or started an animated film in 2011, or have news that I overlooked, let me know so I can add it to the list. Happy new year!
- Justin and Shel continued to work on their next animated film titled “Line”. Their other film, “Gerald’s Last Day” continued to play in festivals winning many awards! Justin also worked at Laika on the forthcoming film “ParaNorman”.
- Jeffrey continued work on the “Unearthed” project but also released “The Fates Present: Pyramus and Thisbe” which premiered at the Northwest Animation Film Festival 2011.
- Sven worked on armatures for the film “Whisperer in Darkness“. His film “Mutate” played at the da Vinci Days Film Festival. Sven also launched the Northwest Animation Film Festival which ran from June 3rd to June 4th 2011. The call for submissions for the 2012 festival is now open.
- Don released “Blue Alien Summer”.
- Shelley continued work on the Halfland project and completed the Mouse House set.
- My film “MIRROR” played at the first annual Northwest Animation Film Festival.
- The science, craft and community of stopmotion animation continued to thrive! ( See also: stopomotionanimation.com )
